It kinda looks slimy, and hairy at the same time. The majority of it is on this rock, there are also a couple of small perfectly round circles of it growing on my mag-float, and inside my little basket for fragile frags. Both of those things are plastic. There doesn't seem to be any on the other plastic pieces of equipment, though. Nothing on the circulation pumps, or overflow. I would like to eradicate it before it gets out of hand. Hoping to not have to take everything apart again. That rock is holding up a few other rocks with corals on them. Would API Marine Algae Fix get rid of it? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

Looks to be the start of GHA. I have used API marine algae fix before with good results. Just follow the instructions.

It could be, but it's definitely different from the GHA I've had in there. This has an encrusting-type of quality to it that's foreign to me. I actually had a small tuft of GHA elsewhere in my tank, that I plucked out and it was definitely different. And this particular rock is one that I treated well with H2O2 the last time I had eradicate GHA from my tank. That's why I feel it ots something different. I know there are many types/colors of coralline algae. Can this be one of them? I do also have some purple coralline algae growing on my rocks.
