Dipped this torch in bayer, a bunch of the red spots came off, still a bunch on it. I take it this is a no-go to put in DT right ? I'm learning.

It looks fine to me.What did you see in the dip water? Red planaria comes to mind.These would resemble little red ovals.In which case you don't want them in the display tank.

These red specs come off, same as the ones still on the torch. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't red planaria.

Looks like Coraline as well. One caveat though. Take a toothpick and push on the dots. If the toothpick goes into the skeleton at these points it is probably burrowing sponge and likely the coral will die unless all infected skeleton is removed and even then...

they look like Foraminiferans to me , harmless
but they could irritate a torch
