Currently sitting/sleeping in my car so I can 1) charge my phone, because it is my alarm clock 2) so I can run a extension cord inside to run a powerhead during the power outage!

Trees on the power line, don't know how long it will be out. Been out since about 730pm

Me too!

I have a generator I can hook up, but it's raining so hard out that it's making it seem impossible

Don't worry - I hear that water and electricity are a perfect match!!!

(J/K!)

Hope they get the power restored sooner rather than later.

I'll find out soon when I get home from work.

I ended up at Walmart at 5am to get two car batteries and a second inverter to run a powerhead in each tank while I was gone.

I was able to run the generator for a couple hours, but a wasn't going to leave a door open for the cord while no one was home.

That is commitment. Thumbs up. Hope everybody stays healthy. Here is to wishing you a better night's sleep.

All is good. Everyone made it. Temps in the tanks were down to 67 when the power came back on at 430.

I'll be interesting in some gyre with battery backup in the near future so I don't go through this again.
