GLASS jars! Wow is all I have to say.

Lol, that was a second freebie courtesy of a 10 yr old....

The bag in the jar is actually mesh, not a plastic bag as typical.

I have always used specimen cups, plastic though not glass. Glass definitely seems classier

I have seen there is a trend now with using a plastic condiment cup cut into 4 slices on the bottom to hold the frag plug. Pretty ingenius

I agree that it seems risky due to the possibility of breakage:eek:. However it looks like it must have been packed well since it's not a pic of shards of glass and a dead Acro! I would be most concerned with everything arriving healthy - how they got to me would be of secondary concern.
But yeah, I would scratch my head at that too. o_O:)

Well yes the packing is an A+ however the frags themselves, meh....

I'll be posting my experience in my other thread on the vendor

I'd be worried about 3 things:

breakage during shipping

the extra weight of glass adding to shipping cost when its really not neccessary

glass disperses HEAT quickly. if I got frags shipped to me during the Winter in glass containers I would gasp at what the water temp got down to

.

The plastic golden flow cups are ideal if the frag size fits. It won't break, lid seals tight, somewhat cheap, and you can reuse.

Glass as noted above by @skimjim can break among other things. A lot of the risk with glass if it is packed well comes down to carrier of choice and how they handle it of course. My luck hasn't been great although I have great success with wine :D
