This is just terrible..lol

Ya gotta do whatcha gotta do!

LOL, great pic Rev... guy looks so pleased with himself to finally eliminate the zoa murderer!
Please elaborate!
Cut the top off of a pop/water bottle about 1/3 of the way down, turn it upside down and shove it into the bottom part of the bottle (hence inverted). Toss some food in there and the idea is to get the fish/crab/pest to go into the bottle. Swimming into it is easy for them , but figuring out how to get out can be tricky ;)

I have tried that with a plastic cereal container before it works sometimes but not for the more cunning and shy fish.

***Chuckle*** been there, done that; different fish.

Jack caught our large yellow tang out of our 200g that way. He had him in under 10 sec. we thought it was funny too... (the fish kind of looked shocked!) but the hook never hurt the fish and he is is alive and bullying a bunch of other fish to this day!

Foxfaces must love zoa's! I had to hook out my orangespot for that same reason. Actually twice as he was too big for my display at the time and I moved him to the fuge where there were zoa's and he ate a ton of those so I then had to hook again and dump him in the sump.

Yep, it's worth a shot though! It took many attempts w/ the damsel but then I finally got him.

Very nice. I might have to try this. The ole box trap isn't working!! I got to catch a Majestic Angel that is developing a taste for corals that is too smart to go into the trap same goes for the Chevron tang.

Thats how I catch them. I have caught many reef fish with a hook. It never hurts them at all, and its a good laugh. Nothing like fishing in the reef tank!
