Looks like a blue sponge to me

It changes color and is hard like epoxy not soft like a sponge. Are there hard sponges out there also?

Wouldnt it be soft then? This thing feels really smooth like glass...

Nobody has run into this before? I have considered a sponge but doesn't really fit since its hard and smooth.
Plating Sponge, as suggested above.
