Hey guys so I have for the longest time been using the Hannah ppm alkalinity checker but I have since started using the Reefbot and was forced to switch to the red sea kit. The bot was doing well with the kit getting relatively close numbers to my hannah then after a vacation it started growing apart. I just conducted a hanah check and it came out to be 145ppm and I just did a manual red sea which came back at 10.2dkh...And I am currently running a reefbot test with the red sea kit. The reefbot and manual red sea test were conducted using the same reagent. The hannah was rinsed in my tank water than filled with 10ml of tank water using a syringe and the red sea was given the same process and filled with the exact syringe. The Hannah checker is calibrated using one of their stock solutions purchased. For the past few days the hannah has been reading in the 8's dkh, Red sea manual in the low 10's and the reefbot 8.7-9.5 range. I am really at a lost for words at how spread apart each of these tests are and am not sure what I should do. I have been working with the reefbot chemist on calibrating the alkalinity test which was calibrated to read 1dkh lower as it was reading higher than the manual test.

Buy an alk standard solution to find out which of your methods is most accurate.
I like the Fauna Marin multireference standard because it can also be used to check other parameters.
My Hanna checker has always been spot on target with this solution; so far anyway.

I would take a water sample to a trusted LFS and have them test to see what results they get and for comparison to your kit

So I figured out my issue...Turns out that the red sea test kit/reefbot were actually displaying the right results while the hannah was way off. I tested yesterday using the hannah and a manual test of red sea and got 7.69 for hannah and 10.4 for the red sea. Well I decided that had an extra bottle of reagent for the hannah and thought mayhbe the reagent was a bad batch. switched out the reagent and behold 10.5 dkh twice in a row. So all this time the reefbot/red sea kit were correct and my hannah was displaying wrong readings ughhh. At least I was able to correct the problem.
