This Is What I love About The New Update

I have seen a handful of non likes and the such threads with the new update out of sooooo many users but in the end only a few. You cant have ying without yang. So lets see the other side of things.

Lets here what you like about the new update. I know we have set a few new get to know the features threads by the bod. And maybe if this takes off links can be set to detailed new features for easy find navigation and instruction but I know there are folks out there that had probs from before that are now fixed. Put change aside in thinking and accept that a larger cup holds more water and lets here about what folks are excited about.

Some have more knowledge about.new features as we.all are learning it - but after all the hard work put in - its nice to see fruits in labor....so if you like the new update - lets give a shout.out here to folks that put in behind the scene efforts to consistently listen to member board and adjust to make an amazing spot like R2R.
And for members sake if there is a new feature you love that helps - post it here with any helpful info. Remember that most IT upgrades are a behind the scenes upgrade - fitting in helpful upgrades needed noticed over time.

if you still have probs with it there are threads for that along with state your problem so we can fix it threads - so let's keep this strictly to excitement with the new upgrade and if you have constructive feedback please keep that to a better handled spot - its specific thread

Every SW hobbyist forum I have belonged to long term has changed format at some time.

Personally I really like the design and layout.

I like the adjustability. The fact that a practical issue can be addressed and delt with. The quickness it happens in thanks to you peeps behind the curtain. I also like finding new lil things here and there. Remember when we all started our tanks - pretty close to that scenario. Every night we could search a little more and find a little more or something new.

I really like these forums. Having worked on forums for years, these look great! Seem to perform very well... especially considering the traffic!! I have never seen the back end of these particular forums..... most of my experience is with VB and PHPBB.

I think the forums look great, and perform well!

The new mobile version is great! And I like how the private message system takes on a text message approach. It makes keeping longer convos in line without having to constantly checking back old messages or having a insanely long quote in each pm

Remember you can also add more participants to the private conversations! So more than two people and up to five can all have a private conversation like a thread!

I have always followed reef2reef and other forums..but, not necessarily participated due to having to 'figure' functionalities out. (Especially while mobile) The ease and logic of this platform I feel is easier to participate/navigate. It seems to promote and encourage posting much like social media. Due to these suttle features I feel it will make it easier to become more active.

Great idea for a thread! I personally think the new update is great. I feel it's easier to use and user friendly. My favorite part of the update would have to be the alerts. Makes it easy to see when you have replies and updates on threads you want to keep an eye on. Aside from that I'm able to find my own threads much easier and another huge plus that I'm sure many have noticed is, it's easier to Read posts! I'm fairly new to forums all together, but this has been my favorite so far. I suppose the thanks has to go to the staff at r2r. Props.

I agree and not because the bias I have! HA! I am a member of a non reefing forum that switched and I never used their mobile version till they switched and I found myself loving it!

Not sure if anyone else noticed this but I just did and think it's great. When going to tag a member or use a # a small drop down appears making these features much easier especially if you don't know the correct capitalization/punctuation of who you're trying to tag.

Things I like:

New mobile version
"Like" feature for posts
Ability to have a private conversation among multiple people
New Alert system
Easier to upload photos
Ability to load bigger photos with better resolution

And that's just the short list...

Really like the Alert system. Can visually see a response to a thread I'm following when I log on and go straight there. Also everything feels so much faster!
