I ask why?

You may have to move it down and acclimate to the lighting for a couple weeks.

Would turning the lights all the way down help? I have a mars aqua on a 20g long tank

Would you then be depriving your other corals of light? If you can dim your lights then yeah you can try that, it's my experience that some montipora moved to different lighting types, say from a T5 system to an LED system may need a couple weeks of lighting acclimation. The most practical intervention imo is to move it down and turn down the intensity within reason. Either way I would do make the change soon.

The light is mounted 14-16 inches above tank. My brother said they needed more light.... Idk cause they look very white :( idk if they need more or less?????

How long have you had that piece?

About 4 months maybe... I got a idaho grape monti and also getting very white. I don't know if it's to much light or not enough. I've had them with light all the way down...maybe they need more light???

I know theyre still alive cause they get slimey when I touch them!

Hmm 4 months should be plenty of time for light acclamation.
What are you feeding them?

I didn't know you could feed them...
But I'll but some reef roids once in a while some amino acids and reef zoo plankton. Don't know if they would feed on any of that?

Ya they have little polyps with tiny little tentacles.
I feed mine coral frenzy

What do you think it could be too much light or not enough and would they eat any of the stuff I use?

Ya looks like a ton of light
Back the whites down
They will eat only if you can see them wanting to at night.

Not sure as I have never used it.
Depends on the size of the food.

2 things can cause it to be that pale ..

lack of nutrients, or too much light ..

move it down to the middle of the tank and feed your fish a tad bit more ..

The tank isn't that deep if I moved it to the middle it would only be like 4 inches deeper at the most. And I feed my 2 black snowflake clownfish pellets. Should I just feed them more of that?
