This is what my red sea reefer pipe work looks like after only 2.5 years. Stripping down for a restart.

Some people's tank have been running longer and not even close to this. Wander why mine is so bad?

Why the restart?

Initially, it was due to the insane increase in the cost of electricity in the UK. It doubled overnight and is set to rise again in October by another 43%. But the smaller tank isn't doing it for me so I am going to restart the 350 with a new scape and sand.

2) is there a way to remove the internals of the overflow to clean them, without disconnecting the below plumbing? I've had a RSR250 running for a little bit and they should be done, but I haven't looked into tearing it apart yet.

Not that i am aware of you need to unscrew them and remove them for cleaning. The inside of the weir box is the same. Not sure how i will be able to clean that.

I never cleaned them once. No point as you don't want to disturb the biology in there.

Those are tube worms in my tank not vermitid snails. However, i have them also lol
