I seem to have an anemone problem, suggestions?

Grab a power head and blow the anemone one by one grabbing them slowly and
Move them to buckets and sell those anemone to your LFS.

Yea unfortunately this was my first attempt at a full blown reef tank and I wasn't very creative with my rocks. It's more like a rubble pile than a rock structure. The issue is that multiple anemone are attached to multiple large rocks at one time and I can't get to their feet without doing damage. But there are a bunch I can get loose I think, it's in the cards they get sold. It's getting so bad some are bleaching from lack of light.

As mentioned above, usually pointing a power head towards the foot works to get them to walk/let loose. The other option is there’s @Eagle_Steve contraption (I forget what it’s called) but it’s a sponge and tube that makes them crawl in it and gets them off the rock.

That’s not a problem, that’s awesome! If some of them are loose, I would try to sell to my LFS or other local reefers. I bet they would pay hood money for beauties like that!

Yea, the big guy up front is about 16" across, I'm thinking I can buy some decent upgrades with him.

I actually just read that. After I thin them out I'm thinking that's going to be the route I take for some of the more dug in ones.

For sure!! Or maybe keep that one, if he’s a fast propagator, and sell some of the smaller ones. :)
Honestly, I'm thinking about completely restarting this tank and it's hard to see but there are at least a dozen 8-10+ inch bad boys in there, and the one on the left is almost the same size as the monster. I'll probably save a half dozen or so of the 2-4 inch guys in the move to the smaller tank and sell off the bulk of them. There are even about half a dozen 1-3" in the fuge I can easily snatch up.

If you’re thinking of restarting. Then just restart with rocks. Buy some dry rocks and replace them with these anemone filled rocks and keep on small anemone. Be sure to take one out when it spilts.

Sometimes you can "tickle" the foot to get them to let go. Never tried it in a tank with that many anemones or that big. Never got nailed by one but always heard it was like a bee sting.

You don’t have to be gentle with removing them. Take a razor and peel them off. They will recover. They will live. Be aggressive. Sell them to a lfs.

My 32.5 has been cycled and running for about a year now, I'm going to toss a few of them that I really like and a few of the smaller ones into that tank. Then I already have a great rock structure created that I'm going to use and cross seed back from the 32.5. Once they're both back running I'm going to pair off the smaller ones as the split.

I've handled several of these without issue, I'm not sure if I've been stung or not, but they never irritate me while I'm cleaning and trying to move things around. I noted earlier that the rock work is what prevents me from doing a good clean up. It's just a rubble pile and the ones I really want to move have latched onto multiple rocks at the same time making it scary trying to get at their feet.

Edit: The last count I was able to do there were over 40 anemone. At this point we're thinking something like 60+ are in this group.

Not a problem, just need 20 baby clowns to go in there
