#Reefsquad,

Is this just a type of algea?

Tank is 3.5 months old.
Dkh 8.3
Cal 439
Phos 0
Nitrates 0
1.026

Fells similar to a jelly consistancy, it is?

Multiple spots all over in the tank

Yeah, they can feed off nutrients so yours may be high. Are you using rodi? There's a very few types that are bad, but most of them are good. Sometimes they can smother coral so just watch for that. They're easy to peel off the rocks.

Photo 1 and 2 are of same area. Photo 3 and 4 different area. Literally jelly I can rub off. Rodi water 0 tds. My parameters are stated above. Started with dry Marco rock
And my chateo algea has started to grow nicely.

What are you feeding the ecosystem? 0/0 nutrient means you should GRADUALLY increase your nutrient load. Fish poop is good.

This question assumes you have some kind of bacterial colony. Questions:

1 How did you start the cycle?
2 fish/animal load?
3 Any live rock/sand?
4 No nitrite or ammonia, correct? The tank has already cycled, right?

Don't put any corals in yet. At 3.5 months with dead rock don't worry about what that is, it is just part if the new tank uglies.
