I have a system with Current USA's LOOP system controlling 4 lights.

A week ago, I added (2) 2100gph eflux power heads, which worked beautifully. But today, I noticed that one of the two was not working.

To troubleshoot, I switched the power supplies to see if the non-working head would work. The non working head didn't come on with the other power supply and the working head didn't come on either.

I switched back the power supplies to start the one working head, but now BOTH have failed.

Can anyone familiar with this product make suggestions? I've checked for obstructions, but both heads are clear.

I have a call in with support, and they are usually very good. My main return pump is working fine and there is a good amount of flow, but, not enough. If this goes on for days, it may become a problem.

Thanks
Dom

I would consider looking into a back up plan on replacing them.

Have your cleaned them with vinegar?

Even some AC powerheads can be a stand in until you get it fixed or new pumps, your salt mixing pump maybe?

Current USA’s customer support is the best I’ve experienced in the industry. And when I contacted them about the problem, they asked for my full mailing address, photos of the two failed heads along with their serial numbers. And within 1 day, replacement heads were on the way.

I am thrilled with such a quick response, but their no questions asked replacement of the items leads me to wonder about the reliability of the product.

Is the rate of failure on these pumps so high that they immediately conclude the problem is with the pump and not a configuration issue of some kind? I do believe the problem is with the actual power head.

Voltages from the power supply match what is printed on the power supply label. And I plan on starting by plugging in the new pumps to the original power supplies and hub to rule them out.

The pumps arrived late yesterday, along with a new hub. I expect to install them later today.

I’m curious to see how long the replacement pumps last.

I liked the idea of using an accessory that worked with existing hardware already installed on the system. But if they aren't reliable...
