This sand or Aragnite

Hey guys i found some sand in my basement i think it was old play sand i cleaned it and everything but should i get aragnite or another bag of sand. I heard aragnite keeps the ph higher. Thx guys :smile:

i like to use araganite its not to small and not to big

I would definitely go with aragonite. Would not use play sand as out could contain silica

As said by previous posters I would use the aragonite. With the play sand as mentioned it could leach silicates into the water which you don't want.

Some brands of play sand are aragonite. Our local club would do group buys of play sand years ago, but it was a specific brand of play sand... I think it was called "Southdown."

But if you're not sure where it came from, don't chance it.
