This should be interesting 2.5 pico

I think it looks like more than it is. It's the 6 lbs of rock. I need lots of surface area for coral! [emoji16][emoji12]
Surface area has nothing to do with density. Correct me if I'm wrong, I would shoot for thinner pieces with the same surface area.

I did take some stuff out. Thanks it looks more full than it is. So hard too find small stuff. I cut down and drilled some stuff in there. Honestly not sure how much I need for bio filter. No sand and probably just corals.

Still haven't come up with a scape and there is to much rock in there, but I put a piece of live rock in to seed. I'm either going to ghost feed or put pure ammonia and to start the cycle. Found something to pretty up the base and hide the "sump" area, let me know what you think!

What do you use for a Pico "sump"? Like what does it consist of? Im really interested in doing one of these

Awesome thread, following :)

Check out the beginning pictures this "tank" sits on another tiny container which has a return pump heater and little filtersock. I should be able to throw some media in there as well.

Quick update started a cycle with extra rock in there! I will work on a final scape during the cycle. I cut the top so the kessil shines right in! Just trying to come up with a way to dress up the top. What do you guys think if I do something like the bottom on the top?

I personally wouldn't have anything on the top unless it's a vital part, I think it would look good without, completely up to you though :)

My concern was overheating in the summer months with a top. Is your concern the same? Other than that I figured it would keep evaporation down and keep house dust from getting into the system.
