This thing looks crazy

I noticed this thing kinda sprouting up out of my the substrate in this tank I thought it was ...hell I don’t even know what I thought .... anyways as you watch it it retracts is branches or maybe it’s tentacles into it south then uncoils them back out it looks like a white piece of sargassum or something I dunno

Some kind of sea cucumber? I’m definitely not certain. Will need more reefers to weigh in on this. I’m curious too.

Th pink spot I guess is it’s mouth ... I wish the video would load ... it curls up those branchy looking “tentacles” into its mouth when it catches something then uncurls them right back out

Meh... it’s really a type of sea cucumber. So if it gets ticked or dies, it can release a toxin in your tank that can kill everything. I’d trash it, but that’s just my opinion. I don’t like the taking chances though

Maybe ask around if someone wants to have it before thrashing a living animal that is not immediately harmful
