Those who like to keep the back glass clean of algae and coraline algae how are you keeping your acrylic overflows clean?

I am afraid to scrape the coraline as I don't want to scratch the acrylic.

Nothing as I don't want to scratch it. Big spots of coraline already covering it.

LOL - I am having a time posting today!!!! They do make scrapers for use on acrylic.

just get a glass overflow ;Dead .... Ok not helpful but I avoid acrylic in tanks for this reason.

They make scrapers and pads for cleaning acrylic. while I have not used it my LFS recommends "Algae Dozer by Mighty Magnet" and uses it on his tanks.

I use Halloween sea urchins and rock urchins. They attack coralline on the overflow. They prefer it to coralline anywhere else in my tank.

You can get black plastic covers for your overflow. They actually look good with coralline encrusted. I let it grow on my center overflow but keep the two panels on either side of it clean with a Flipper cleaner.

I use an old credit card on the overflow. Works pretty well and no scratches on it, at least none that I can see while wet.
