I'm getting a lot of micro bubbles where can i get a new sponge thing??? Or is the bubbles normal?? I bought the skimmer used so don't really know. Oh and the Rio that comes with it is huge has anyone else used another powerhead instead???

use a different kind of foam/filter media in the strainer. That's what i did. i do not remember what kind. i had some laying around, replaced the foam it came with, and the problem is solved . I also added foam/media around the output nozzle.

I have mine in my sump, with a crap load of rocks surrounding it. The return pump is on the other side of the sump, so in turn i dont get any bubbles back into the tank just because they disipate before. I have always noticed i get a crap load of bubbles though.

i used a similar type of foam i had laying around. not sure where it came from.

i would experiment with whatever you have laying around also.

I have the 125 model and I have it placed on the other side of the return pump. Then into a refugium with macro algae and I have no micro bubbles. You might just have your return pump running to fast. I am turning my tank over with just my return at 7.5 times an hour. Just a thought.
