So this morning I check on the tank and I see only 2 fish. We have 4 fish but one is a goby and he is always hiding. I look through a cave in the Aquascape and see our yellow tang on her side. I think **** what did I screw up now. Well I have to get her out. Take the cave apart and try to get her with a net. No dice. I grab my long tweezers and grab her by the tail and I have to yank her out. I actually had to tug to get her out. Got her out and she starts swimming around. I was in shock. Do fish get stuck? Or was she in a deep sleep and I woke her up? I’m afraid if It happens again it will be to late next time. That has to be stressful on a fish I would think. What do you guys think?

If she is acting fine, eating and swimming I would be safe to say she is okay. I had a Hippo tang that would hide and lay on her sides, total drama queen.

Not normal YT behaviour though. Maybe it'll be ok; maybe there's some underlying problem.

I am going to agree. She was put into quarantine right away. After I originally posted this she was not acting like herself. So I defintely think something is wrong. Hopefully she will pull through. She was eating fine and acting normal as of last night, but as we all know that doesn't always mean they are OK.

Laying on the sandbed and within tight places in rockwork is a blue regal thing, not something a healthy yellow tang would do, I'm my limited experience.

Whatever it is, I hope it pulls through
