Hi All, I would like to ask help with the do's and most importantly don't with a coral Qt build. I would be glad to start with any links or threads you can recommend. Size (water volume), lighting, substrate or BB, etc... I have an old 14gal Biocube with two 24watt PC bulbs? Thanks in advance, JD

In theory, this may be a basic Nano Reef geared more for observation and mobility of the frags? Clean up crew (fish, snails, crabs)?

I use a 10 gal QT for my corals and fish. It is bare bottom with a aqueon 110 hob filter. I keep about 10-15 lbs. of live rock in there. I also like to keep a fish in there to help feed my corals and also keep the pod population down. I am thinking about adding a few snails in there. Currently there is only a stomatella snail that hitchhiked on my torch frag and a hermit crab that was killing off the other hermit crabs in my main tank. My aquaticlife 115 skimmer will join the arsenal in there when I get my new skimmer.

Forgot to mention my lights are a homemade fixture made from the pc lights that came from my 29 biocube when I upgraded my lights.

Thank you for your input. Maybe 20gal 30x12x12 with CPR all in one HOB and T5 retro 2, 4, 6 bulbs?
