Still not sure. Do you guys like it?

Hahaha I hate to break it to ya, your gonna have that "still not sure" feeling for awile. Looks great tho. Once you get it in the tank you will know better. And in 3 months you might find yourself back in there moving stuff around. Caves and swimming thru rocks was a big thing for me.

220 gallon

Nice!

I wondered with your 6' span on that table ;)

I suggest going with taller structures. I found with mine, I did a similar layout, but it there was way too much empty water at the top. Here is one of my first layouts (actually probably closer to the third or fourth iteration of layouts, about a year ago):

vs something closer to my current layout:

I have actually thinned this layout out (just last week, lol) so there are nice through caves in each island (it has been 1.5 years since depl0yment and have changed, added and removed rocks quite a bit)...

Nice tank! This is all the rock I have for now but I will eventually get more and change heights. But I see what you're saying about open space

Thanks!

I started with what I thought was enough (probably 2/3s the rock in the first picture). Then I picked up some very large pieces from the store and cured them for a few months (I did this at least twice to get the rock layout I wanted... for now...).

The rock you have is a good start, and is certainly enough for filtration. But like xREEFINaintEZx says, you cannot really know for sure until the tank is operational. After you get the base filtration requirement, it all falls into your own aestetic preferences. Take your time and enjoy the journey!

I'm trying to play around with my rocks for a 220 as well...

The right pile will be for zoas. Thought about making branches coming off of the narrow structure in the middle..

You have to picture what corals you will place and how they will fill in the open space. I would like an overhang on the right side of the left structure, but that could be created with a Monti cap or a tabling Acro instead of putting a shelf rock.
