I’ve been kicking around the idea of setting up a frag tank and the IM 25 lagoon is appealing. What are your thoughts?

I plan on stocking mostly zoas, maybe some acans and chalices. I would like to have enough room for a few grow out pieces and obviously the frags.

Considered the same. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use that as a frag tank. I think the rimless, shallow look will make looking down nice. I think some of the best views are looking at zoas from top down.

Only potential downside is that the footprint is small because the back chambers take up some space. Volume is small too but with those corals, I don't think it'll be bad. I used a 10 gallon frag tank for zoas and shrooms and just let it be and watched my alk here and there. Was simple enough.

The footprint is definitely a concern and a plus at the same time, as in the equipment would be cheaper on a smaller system. I’m worried about running out of real estate too quick, but I’m also not trying to open a store either.
