thoughts on bare bottom reef

I'm doing it. Can't really get used to it! After removing my sand, I noticed that I had to start dosing magnesium? But I'm going back to a sand bed

awesome guys and girls i just turned my tank to a bb right after i started this thread and i was amazed how nasty the sand was... so far im loving the look will have pics up soon to show how it turned out

I sucked out the rest of my sand bed a few months ago and I was amazed at the amount of crap that was in there. So I found the reason for my excess nutrients. Much easier to keep clean bare bottom. And I cranked up the flow and no more sand storms. Bare bottom w is the way to go for me to.

heres my tank but do you think a maxi jet 400 and 900 is to much

I would think you could go bigger on the pumps or more of them. For a random flow
