Thoughts on CaribSea Aragonite? (Dry)

It's fine.
Depends on what you are dong with it.
Starting a tank w all dry rock and sand , yes.
Adding to an established tank no, cycle and cure it first.

Rinse it out ... all sand can build up a lot of dust.

I add some here and there to my established tank & haven't noticed any spikes. But as others have said, rinse it first.

A bin with saltwater and Bactria. And flow. Like cycling a tank.
A bucket will work but you need to bury the pump so it circulates or ouch a tube to the bottom from the pump. through the rock as best you can.

I am not arguing that you dont have to but I added 40lbs of it to my 11 month 125g about a month ago. I had a little diatoms bloom over the new sand but after a week it all went away. I did vacuum over the old sand a little before adding the new one. And yes rinse, rinse, rinse.

Hopefully I did not do a mistake with mine.

I added 40lb DT to my 55 when I transfers to it as did have probs.
So vol is a definite consideration.
After a full 30 days when I added the snails , they ran up rocks off the sand like they were being burned. In fact, they were.

No matter how much you rinse new sand, it never seems to be enough.

If you're worried about water being cloudy, you can buy flocculent (the stuff in the CaribSea bio-magnet) which will bind small particles together; it's expensive so probably better to just keep rinsing, rinsing and rinsing.
