Thoughts on Crystal Sea MarineMix!

Thoughts? Has anyone else tried it? I’ve heard mixed things…is it really used by large public aquariums? I suspect this is the culprit to my low magnesium and high nutrients. It’s the salt that my lfs uses for their water because it’s “cheaper” but I don’t think it’s good which means I need to buy an RODI and make my own saltwater! @Jay Hemdal @Randy Holmes-Farley

It does NOT mention brand names, but it does give some information about how to objectively evaluate sea salts, and what the common errors are with subjective evaluations.

Bear in mind the needs and costs for a large user are different than an individual.

it is likely a fine mix, but when Ron Shimek fell in love with it in the past and convinced others to try it, a fair number had issues for unclear reasons.

There are many good salt mixes, and rarely would the mix greatly impacted success.
