Thoughts on Jbj to 45?

Thinking about downsizing from my 90g to a Jbj rl45. I'm just wanting an all in one tank. What are your thoughts,concerns, or suggestions on different brands and volume.
 
JBJ is a great brand and I have yet to hear anything really bad about them. From what I hear most of the AIO tanks are pretty good so it kind of comes down to personal choice.
 
I personally very much dislike AIOs. They look nice but are harder to get dialed in i.e skimmer and reactors. Having a sump makes this hobby so much easier.
 
I've had a jbj 12g nano for 4-5 years and love it. Here's my thoughts:

Upgrade to LEDs using a retrofit company like Steve's LEDs.

Think about raising the lid on the tank. I did to make more room in the sump, which is on the small side.

Don't use the bioballs or carbon that come with it. I kept the sponges but clean them weekly. I also have purigen and a gfo reactor for
