Thoughts on KZ products

Hi ,

Currently using Aquaforest line if products in a sps dominated tank . Aquaforest ABVE as additives .
However ,feeling like they hardly have impacts and hence planning to switch to KZ pohls extra ,vitality and sponge power .
Any reviews on non zeovit system ?

Would like to add how many people use KZ flatworm stop too not for flatworms but just making acros grow .. have found a few people who swear by it along with coral booster

Lol..how long your system is up??? I used KZ for approximate 1 year and all I can say is that yes it works like AF works. But I was not happy with their pricey product range, unknown components and complicated range of products. I ran it with and without their zeolites too. I never say it does not work but I have my own issues to with it. The issue with majority of people using ULNS does not understand is that its not magic but quite hight level of chemistry and biology. The system will go through certain changes with periodical ups and downs before it reaches its final stage. There is a whole process of ecological evolution taking place inside your tank and sorry to say it will take its own sweet time. We generally want to see our system grow and thrive but we need to understand its not overnight. Whatever system you use or whatever method you follow it will take time .....possibly a lot of time. Also the number of time you change between systems, modifying the parameters and messing with the lights you are disturbing the natural balance...

Thanks @Anirban for the reply. It makes a lot of sense when you talk from prior experience . However, am mainly looking at products from Kz that do not have equivalents to Aquaforest like Sponge Power or Pohl's Extra Special or even Flatworm stop.
Just out of curiosity created the thread to know if people have switched over to Kz from Aqusforest and noticed considerable changes.

You can definitely use sponge power but I must remind you that Pohls extra contain micro elements and amino acids. So, if you use it with your current AF schedule you are going to mess up the element balance in the system as well as nutrient. Be careful about that.

I use both systems to compliment my tank. I really like the LPS aminos. I've noticed a definite change in my LPS growth using it. I'm trading most of the products I use to the Component 1~4 to see how it changes things. Don't plan on weekly WCs, thus the reason for trying out the components.

@Salty1962 - Thanks for the reply. Well I have stopped doing water change and its 3rd week straight after using Components strong with KH Buffer, Mg , Ca and Reef Moinerals. Corals doing great and even my wild tort frag which was almost STNing is having wayy more PE .
In fact I have removed carbon too and that has helped to stop STN .. Not sure if the carbon was too strong.

What other products of KZ do you use ? Any recommendations other than LPS Amino as I have very little LPS .

I also use the POHL'S Extra, Macro Elements, Amino Acids and Coral Vitalizer. I used to used the B Balance but saw no benefits to my tank. Of course some of these will be eliminated for the Coral System Components.
I use the Aquaforest Pro Biotics salt, AF Build and Bio S. Using these helps me cut down on my water changes and helps with Po4 and No3. So far my corals are looking good. It's a trial period so we'll see how it goes. Trying to take baby steps
