I ordered some fish on Live Aquaria , just want to hear your thoughts on that company, and how well fish do after the 14 day guarantee

Never lost a fish or coral. I QT'd all fish from them and never had to medicate. Maybe it was just luck?

I've only bought a few things from them, but have only had good experiences.

I ordered from there for the first time last week and unfortunately the fish had to stay in the box way longer than I wanted them to due to a work issue but when I got them they looked amazing. I've ordered from other places and the quality of the stock from live aquaria was excellent the fish have colors like I've never seen before and they looked so healthy no damage of ich. I'll order from them from now on. I did loose a linckia star that was doa and I called and she said ok here's your money back with out a single problem or questioning why it was dead.

I find myself in a catch 22 with them. I've heard great things about them but they are owned by Petco. I have a hard time reconciling this in my mind.

I've ordered quite a few fish and a handful of select corals and had nothing but good experiences. If you don't order the minimum to get free shipping their shipping rates are outrageous. I just always make sure I buy enough at a time to get it free.

29.99 is a lot better than most online retailers

petco would be doing so much better if their livestock came from live aquaria. i'm sure they just import the fish and expect the stores to take care of them - lack of quarantine and medicating the fish = disastrous.

But on topic - i've only had positive experiences from live aquaria!

Liveaquaria has only been great for me, no negative experience stands out over the years, but I've only ever ordered from Divers Den. The shipping cost is another issue entirely.

A 249$ purple tang with free shipping isn't better than a $150 purple tang with 50$ shipping. I believe the quarantine and conditioning Liveaquaria does with their divers den is excellent though.

My understanding is that their livestock does come from live aquaria. Or at least the same supplier supplies both. The only thing I can figure is that they get handled completely differently at the retail level.

lol yeah thats what i meant. i'm sure same supplier but quite different in how they manage the fish

I have been ordering from LA for about a decade, any time a coral or fish was DOA it was immediately rectified by LA.

Any fish or corals I have received have been awesome. My mandarine is my favorite and when I got her she was eating frozen fish food as well as live black worms. My bubble coral is beautiful and by better looking then any LFS I seen them in. I think they are top notch and their customer service has always been great when I called to ask questions.

Actually they are not owned by Petco , Petco just has a business account with them , so now you can order anything from Petco, only you will pay more from Petco than ordering direct from Live Aquaria.

I also heard they quarantine fish that do not come from divers den so that is good news.

Well my order will come on Tuesday, so I will see how it turns out, and also put a review on my YouTube channel. Also did anyone ever order a wall hammer from them? If so how is it doing, are the wall hammers hardy from them?
