This is my 75g i am building. What are your thoughts on my aquascaping? Is there enough room, is it to high etc. I am going to have a mix reef. I already have frogspawn, Toadstool leather and a few other leathers, but i want eventually to add some SPS to the mix. I am going to run 1 Mp40, and 2 Mp10s, plus 2 xr30 gen 3 pro Radions. I have a sump with filter sock, skimmer area and return. I will also be running a bunch of Seachem Matrix for maximum bacteria.

The piece on the right i love but the left i am unsure of. I like the fact that it kind of hides the overflow though.

I like it! but it seems like there is a wee bit too much space in the middle. Can you move each piece just a wee bit toward the center? I think it would look more balanced and give more room at both sides (just a little!) ... to encourage swimming all around the tank, not just in the middle part ... ??

I should add that i have a piece of tonga i am going to add to this setup. Its in my old tank and that is why the piece on the right is so far over. I need to make sure i have enough room for that one piece of rock.

Thats going to look really nice all colored up. Are you using reef putty or something to hold it together? Any rods or anything? on the right middle of the left one, just worried that piece might collapse and crack the tank if it's not bound together really well. I use putty, zip ties and acrylic rods to achieve this. Will you have sand? That would help cushion it as well.

Love the piece on the right. The one on the left looks unstable and a little unnatural. It also looks too vertical. If you place corals on the top, they will grow over the side and shade everything below. Not much will grow on the vertical areas. I had this issue with my old aquascape a few years ago.

Love both of them but you might want something in the middle area, looks a little odd with just the two unconnected structures

build a bride across the middle, I like the the structure of the rock

I like it, but if it were mine I would create a little bit of a ramp from the middle going about 1/3 of the way up the outside of the left structure just to give it a more natural look.

One of the great things about aqua structure, everyone has their own tastes and there is no wrong way of doing it.

I also like the more natural right piece.
BUT I like the fact that some of the top coral on the left piece will shade areas. You will want those if you plan on having any low light corals.
It looks like a minimalist structural take on it. I like tons of rock (for tons of coral!) and I like to build from a huge base up to smaller pieces like a wall so theres no empty spaces.

Everyone has their own way of doing it.
I love that you have everything already planned out. I cant offer much advice on the lights though.
Good luck!

I like the right but not the left.....like sawdonkey stated, looks too unnatural to me. I would maybe take the circle apart and make two islands out of that for a total of three smaller islands of different heights.

Well i love the one on the left as well and that one is a keeper.. i tore down the left one and i agree it did not look natural. I will be working on that one again. I have some ideas and i use rods and epoxy so there is no chance of collapse. I will post new pics later.

I love it! Looks great! Have you thought about maybe making the left side only a partial round, with a piece connecting the two islands like a bridge? Could be cool with connection and over/under space!

I liked the left! but I admit it was a little topple-ish. Maybe something similar but not quite so high. Or perhaps something like a bridge sort of thing between the sides?
Our "left" is much like yours ... wanna picture?
ok!

we took the dorky spikey thing off the top. But then again ... we have more length to work with than you do
isn't aqua-scaping fun? I want to set up another tank so I can do it again!
