I am currently dosing all for reef and as corals grow they become more demanding and I found that all for reef alone is not sufficient. I am looking into dosing Red Sea foundation elements A, B And C to cover major elements (alk mg and ca) simultaneously with all for reef to cover trace elements and major elements. Would this work and are there any negative down sides to it?

Yes. The only downside is that if you dose all 3 you need at least a 3-head dosing pump as opposed to just the 1 for All For Reef. If you're doing any kind of significant dosing volume, you might want to look at the powder versions of Foundation vs. the pre-mixed liquid (will probably save you some money over the course of a year).

I use Nyos Alkalinity/Calcium/Magnesium (similar setup) but I run the alkalinity separate on one dose head and mix the calcium and magnesium at a 60/40 ratio on the second dose head (my tank uses more magnesium for whatever reason). I run a Neptune setup so this means I can get away with a single DOS and still tie it into the Trident-controlled dosing.

Thank you, I apologize somehow there are two threads discussing it.
