Hey folks I’m going to start a new tank soon, I’m going for super low maintenance and I think I got the perfect idea.!
My goal is to have a tank that basically runs itself with very minimal water changes and maintenance.
I’m selling my Harley and I’m gonna put a lot of the $$ into this build so my budget is pretty healthy.
I’m going to pack it with high end SPS and LPS corals and a bunch of fish.
RS Reefer 525XL
Synergy triton 44 sump
Vertex omega 200i skimmer
Vertex RX-C 6D calcium reactor
Apex dosing pumps for daily water changes
I’m thinking with a huge refugium and the vertex skimmer it should stay pretty clean.
The calcium reactor should keep the cal, alk and mag where it needs to be without dosing.
The apex dosing pumps doing daily 1-2g automatic water changes should keep all the minor and trace elements where they need to be as well.
I’ll do the triton mail in water tests every 3 months to see exactly what’s going on.
Does this sound okay.?
Any concerns or red flags.?
Thanks
