The rock are very sturdy. Unless there is a earthquake the rocks r not falling overOne more thought - If that ever fell forward (I don't know if its mounted to the bottom of the tank) - it could easily crack your front glass.

I like the high arches, but I don't like how uniform they are. If it was mine I would not have them all connected and would make them different heights and different depths. But that's just me.![]()
I meant no offense also. I re read my post, and it's worded a bit "standoffish", which was not my intent. It is your tank after all.
Totally nor offended. I asked for peoples advice and I appreciate it.I will say - the sand and tank and rock all look really nice (and especially the way they go with the stand) - hopefully you realize I wasn't criticizing what you did. I looked at it again - and the front view to me looks good it was the side view that made it seem too even. If you can bear one more comment? I would take out the piece of coral on the side that doesn't 'go with' the rest. Or you could cement/glue it to the side of one of the arches to give it some depth. Either way - when you get fish in there it will look awesome. If you picture coralline algae growing on that rock and a bunch of fish - it will be great (in other words - almost every picture I see of a 'scape' doesn't appeal to me - including my own lol![]()
The dimensions are 72x30x18 it's a ML 150 gallon. Sump is in the basementWhat are the tank dimensions? It looks pretty narrow in the side pic, which is limiting on creating on a field of depth. To me, I'd get the MOM tattoo, and leave it out of my tank. That was my first thought, it spells MOM. I saw a cool tank that was narrow a long time ago that had 2 spirals of different sizes, xmas tree shaped, connected with an arch. I wish I'd have taken a pic. Whatever you do, epoxy or hydraulic cement them together to avoid an avalanche that could break the tank.
I especially like it because all sides will be easy to provide flow to and easy to clean. There is something definitely to be said for easy access! If you're asking for purely aesthetic opinions, personally, I think you should build a scape to match what YOU like. YOU are the person who has to sit and look at it all the time! Hehehe.

Thanks for the feedback. I plan on stocking a whole bunch of tangs 2 or 3 Angel's and some smaller fish.I think the layout looks regal and reminds me of a wall of Roman pillars if it were made out of dead coral.I especially like it because all sides will be easy to provide flow to and easy to clean. If you're asking about feedback about what your fish might like, than it depends on the type of fish you plan to stock in the tank. This is where support from people with experience with different types of fish or corals can come in handy because they can help you build scapes for the specific types of coral or fish you're interested in stocking. As mentioned previously, fish that like to swim through holes such as my tangs and angels would love the scape you have built during their daytime foraging and swimming. Alternately, I think they would miss the nighttime sleeping nooks I have where they can feel protected when resting or when startled. If you plan to home a blenny or hawkfish, they appreciate cave type holes to dart into for protection. In this case, my advice is to research the type of fish you want to house and then modify to provide natural nooks, caves, or escape tunnels or routes to provide sleeping quarters and defuse aggression when adding new fish.![]()
If you plan on adding coral sometime down the road, just drill some holes now to accommodate plugs and supports for ledges. It will make adding coral later much easier.![]()
Wow! Nice setup. Is it a ML tank also?As some one who has a 150 with the same dimensions cleaning the back of the tank is going to be really difficult. I have a hard time with mine sometimes and when the corals get big I don’t know what I am going to do. That being said if you like what you got then have at it.![]()
