Hello all!
Im about to start yet another tank in this wonderful hobby :D
I have a 50 nuvo fusion lagoon on order and the rock is curing as Im writing this.

Its going to be a mixed reef, and my second (and final) display tank for the house. Im still on the fence with sand or bare bottom (hence the rock wrasse options)

My stocking plan for fish is:
court jester goby
midas blenny
orchid dottyback
one of these: mccoskers, carpenter, or mystery wrasse

Im not really a fish person so I dont have much stock in the form of fish in my other tanks and i constantly struggle with keeping nutrients above absolute zero-I have to dose nitrate and phos. So my question is...aside from the obvious "do"s and "dont"s with aggression order etc, what do you think about this list? Do you think i will run into the same problem with not enough nutrient input? Should I add one more to the list? Please dont suggest clowns-the neurotic hot mess of marine fish world.

I would skip the Orhchid dottyback due to probable aggression. If you want a purple fish get a black cap basslet

Mystery wrasse get aggressive as they mature and a 50 G is really not a big enough tank for it , IMO. They get almost 5 ".

Mystery wrasse is my favorite fish of all time lol Ive only ever had one that a heater mishap cooked :( it was a lone guy in my 40 breeder and he was about 3" total. Guess i should take one of the other two instead.
Ive never had issues with aggression (knock on wood) with my current orchid, maybe i just got a tame one lol hes in with a single clown and a 6 line in a 25 gal. Maybe the 6 line keeps him in check. Ill look at the black cap. Thank you :)

Im still worried about not having enough fish in there to keep the nitrates up as my other solutions have been less water changes and dosing. Easily done in a softie tank...not so much in a lps/sps tank lol
