Well, it finally happened! My beloved Euro Reef skimmer is finally failing. She has been a loyal one with almost no maintenance what-so-ever over the last 10+ years! I now have to consider an impeller transplant to buy some time or replacing the skimmer altogether. So what are your thoughts. The tank is about 150 gal total water volume mixed reef including the 40gal Refugium. Equipment is in the garage so a little noise is not an issue. Sump has an opening approximately 12in wide x 9in front to back with adjustable baffles so water level can be adjusted to just about any height.

It works very well on my 40 breeder and would be ideal for your size. You can use any pump you want. Mine is not loud at all but some people's are ( don't know why probably the pump). The design has not changed in years and that should tell you something. Easy to set up and tune and mine broke in in a matter of days.
