Hey all, this is our first reef tank. Any thoughts or feedback on our planned scape would be appreciated. Our tank is 48x21x20. The wood in the background is to show the height of the tank.

Well done

Looks great !!!!.....but are you happy with it ...??? Try too imagine how it will look with the type of corals you want to get ... it will look totally different in 6 months once you start filing with corals ...

Thanks! I think I’m happy with it- I know I want to put a red montipora capricornis on the middle of the downslope on the left structure, and some branching corals on the top of the right structure, but other than that I haven’t planned out many other corals or their placements. Maybe a toadstool mushroom leather somewhere too. I might want a clam in either the bay or in the break between the two structures, but not sure if there will ultimately be enough room for that. I just hope there’s enough surface area of rock for coral placement.

A reef is always changing ..and once filled with corals hard too see the rocks ...or as you've already said , adding things like more rock for more placement . ..the ever evolving reef ....you've got a good starting point that's important ...

It really is crazy how easy it is to fill up what once seemed like a huge tank. 95ish gallons just isn’t what it used to be, lol.
