I was thinking about using a small (6" long) black light over our current tank just to help the colors pop a bit more.
Thoughts?

You mean like this?

It is fine for illuminating. Probably won't do much for energy or color rendering, but would have to see a spectrum map to know for sure.

Yea I already have a light setup. I just wanna get a bit more color out of them all.

It won't be able to illuminate color that is not there, so make sure that you keep everything stable and that you have good spectrum and output on your normal lights. Well rendered color in corals are easier to illuminate.

If you want more of the pop, or that psychedelic effect you should pick up a reef-bright strip. They really do the job, way better than I imagine a black light would.

where do you get that?

Black light isnt powerful enough to power through your LED's you have now. I would say it won't change the look unless it's just the black light running by itself
