Thoughts on Velvet after second time QT.

Ok so awhile back I had velvet. Fish cleared up good using copramine. Finished my 6 weeks going fallow on main display. So I added the fish back to the main display. Four days later after adding the fish I notice a cloudy eye on the foxface. It was very hard to get good looks at the fish in the QT. They are very skidish in the QT. But I'm thinking the cloudy eye carried over from the QT system. So on day four I did a fresh water dip on the foxface and he came out clean. Cloudy eye all gone. Wasn't flukes! So I QT all fish again.

Soooo the question is should I let display system go the 6 weeks again for a fallow period from velvet. I already did a 6 week and added fish back for 4 days which I believe still had velvet. Or do you guys think I would be ok to add fish after going through the two weeks of cooper and two weeks of just observation.

You are saying the cloudy eye cleared up following the FW dip? Did you see any flukes (photos below) in the FW dip container?

I did not see any flukes. But I did dose the display with prazipro just to be sure! I'm tired of putting the fish in and out. Couldn't hurt! Since the fresh water dip fish have been clear and eyes look good. They are in QT with copramine. Could the copramine keep flukes off a fish?

There is some scanty evidence that copper will control fluke populations, but not completely eradicate them.

Ok thanks humblefish. I will finish the copper then run prazipro in QT for another 2 weeks. What are ur thoughts on display? When to add fish again?

The cloudy eye might have been a slight infection that healed on its own.

What I would do is black molly test the DT, and if that turns out fine just put all the fish back in.
