Thoughts on Vertex RX-C 6D Calcium Reactor?

I think this is a pretty new reactor and I cant find too much info on it. Anyone have it or have info on it?

Pretty sweet looking reactor. 2nd chamber for media will help to better manage lowered tank pH when using the calcium reactor.

Yeah it looks like a pretty nice reactor. No info anywhere on it though.

Geo is half the cost and proven to work.

This is why not many responses.

Most people choose geo.

From the looks of it looks like a decent reactor.
And also the reviews so far look good.
But remember there are only two reviews.

Where are you finding a Geo CalRx for $250?

I am a fan of Vertex equipment, but I went with a Deltec Calcium Reactor. This wasn't out when I bought my Deltec, but the previous version was and didn't impress me. Geo makes great reactors for large systems, heavy SPS systems.

On paper this thing looks great and Vertex build quality is second to none. I actually was waiting to pick this thing up after seeing it on a video from some reef event but I found a great deal on a used geo and was tired of waiting for it. They just haven't been out long enough for a ton of reviews.

I should have stated better. Geo reactors start at 210 but you probably need a bigger one for your system.

Dollar wise I still think Geo is better than vertex and Deltec. Maybe because I am partial to Geo.

I did spend more money on a masterflex feed pump and did build a dual stage regulator from scratch.

With this combination my Geo keeps rock solid parameters.

Can you guys tell me how calcium reactors are rated? Is it volume of substrate that it can hold? They all say rated for XXX gal but then you add SPS to it and they seem to be rated for half less...
