So I’ve tried to look online and find out what this strange orange thing is... During investigation of this homestead, it appears to be a hard casing with a sturdy exterior wall. I have yet to catch the squatter exiting the dwelling, nor have I ever notice and fans or snot trails of any type.. When knocking on front door and looking through the windows they do appear to try and hide themselves farther from the entrance. Any ideas? Good, Bad, Indifferent?

If you're not expecting a squatter with its own dwelling trespassing on your premises then it should probably be removed with a blunt instrument and tossed into the nearest dumpster fire.

It looks like a vermatid snail that happens to have spun in a circle. Harmless, most people find them unsightly nd get rid of them.
