my SCA tank came with slip fit bulkheads. For the overflow pipes, will they leak water into the sump unless I use a threaded bulkhead?

I don't want to glue the overflow pipes in the box so it can be cleaned.

How do you guys do it?

You glue it in. That's how they are supposed to be. Use a union after it so you can remove if necessary, but you really shouldnt be taking on and off bulkheads

Use below the tank I will - I'm talking INSIDE the overflow box. Is the standpipe fine just split fit no glue, or should I really find threaded bulkheads on that side?

Oh, just slide it in, its no problem if your overflow box leaks into the bulkhead as it will just flow down to your sump

Well I don't want to have any risk of it overflowing...would just a little plumbers tape wrapped around the PVC seal is enough to avoid anything going back to the sump?

I wouldn't bother with the tape, ever dry fit PVC? Sometimes it's next to impossible to take apart without it even being glued. Just dry fit everything in the overflow box and glue everything outside the overflow box and you'll be fine. All mine are dry fit with no leaks into the sump
