Hello everyone!. My name is Eli, I just got into the hobby so wanted to drop by, introduce myself, and tell you a bit about my set up.
I was gifted a 20 gallon marineland tank, stand, and what looks like a generic 100+ watt LED light. I purchased about 18 lbs of base rock and live sand for aquascape. For filtration I was able to find a used Eshoops r-100 sump and overflow for a pretty reasonable price. I also added a icecap k2-50 skimmer, a sicce syncra 1.5 return pump and a hydor nano powerhead. Lastly, I am using a Tuze ATO and a black acrylic reservoir I found for $35.
I kickstarted my cycle with fish food and bio-spira. When the cycle was complete I added a trio of banggai cardinals (From Petco, only 1 made it), a mated pair of wyoming white clownfish a few weeks later (Female is viscous/likes to eat humans.. makes me wonder if all clownfish are giant pains??!!), a GSP (didnt make it for some reason), blue and red discosoma shrooms, a couple of green finger leathers, Xenias, and a few zoas.
Pics to come soon!
