I feel pretty fortunate to have three fish stores in my area, one is primarily coral, one is primarily fish, and the last is decent at both.
Anyways, I went to the coral place to have a look around and saw a small Duncan colony, has 23 polyps. Now, at the other places I've been I've seen them selling just one polyp for 25 dollars and out of just curiosity I asked how much the small colony was. He said he would let it go for 30 bucks. I jumped on it. Apparently when he started he was totally loaded down with duncans and is just trying to move the last two colonies out. I've never owned any before and I think it looks pretty sweet. Seems to have three color variations with bluish on the bottom, purple in the middle, and redder on top. Its not fully opened yet, but I am excited and wanted to show y'all.
He also had an orange tipped torch coral that I got and a ricordia mushroom polyp.
I probably should have shopped around a bit more for the shroom but I had the fever and got it anyway.
This hobby will end me.
