I was having an old-school type of discussion on another board and nearly nobody had heard of Steve Weast's tank in Oregon. These are pretty hard-core current reefers and I was both disappointed and amazed at the same time.

For all of the newer folks, glance through this site and you will surely learn something. The gallery is amazing. This tank has been down for more than a decade yet everything that was done then would still apply 100% today. Heck, you would have one of the top-25 tanks on the planet if you just did things exactly like he did. Steve was a great source of knowledge and was part of the generation that had to learn things as they went.

If you have not read this site, then you should. For those who have seen it, my apologies in advance.

I ran across that one a couple weeks ago after reading through Copp's thread. Both are amazing builds.

I found his tank site years ago, was an amazing reef. I loved the depth, front to back, of that reef. I used to look over old "featured tank" articles but so many were destroyed by the photobucket fiasco. It's sad what has been lost. There is always something to be learned.

Totally amazing! Those dimensions and the whole setup were great. Really inspiring.

They may not know his tank but they probably know his worm.

That worm is the thing of nightmares..

This one goes up on the worm hall of fame along with the one @Lasse 's friend pulled out of his recently, sweet baby jesus that's crazy.

That worm is still alive. Another friend is learning it to eat from his hand. I promise a video if he succeed with this :)

Sincerely Lasse

This tank build was a huge push forward for me and reef keeping. I was in awe when I first starting reading through the website several years back. Thank you for sharing.

What a sweet tank and build. I’ve never even heard of Steves tank and I live in Oregon also lol. Thanks for sharing. Dustin
