Anyone have a good resource to purchase replacement thumb screws for a skimmer? I have a Reef Octopus Prime 200 and need to replace the nylon screws that came with it. I checked the coralvue site, but did not see them in their parts section. I am currently using zip ties to attach the base to the skimmer body. I’m looking to buy titanium or nylon thumb screws. I did find some stainless steel thumb screws at Lowe’s that will work, but I’ve read that stainless can corrode and leech into the water so I’m hesitant to use them.

Google nylon screws there are a ton of companies that make them. Just need to know thread size

Amazon or McMaster-Carr.
You could also look at PVC screws or titanium.
Nylon has a bad habit of absorbing water and swelling, which then causes them to stick and become a pain to deal with.

Thanks for this post. I found the size from a good Thumb Screw, went to McMaster Carr website and download the cad files. converted to .obj and Sliced it to .stl then printed on my 3d printer.

McMaster Carr has already been mentioned. The other one I use is Grainger. I am fortunate in that both are relatively close, so I can go and pick up directly.
