I have a Nyos 160 but just about all skimmers will benefit from having some hot water (just helps dissolve stuff) sent through the venturi every so often.

I sleep in on Saturdays, until 0700, and my DH cleans them for me. Kind of self cleaning! LOL

Maybe a bit daffy! He sure does a lot to keep me happy. Even acclimated my pyramid butterfly fish today. I was at work. Such an appreciated under paid DH! And I never tell him how much it is costing him!

Never tell your mom wife husband gf or anyone like that about how much it costs. Oh and throw every receipt away before you get home

Another way to keep your airlines clean is to squirt vinegar through the line. I do it daily since I'm already vinegar dosing. Keeps the line clear of debris and the skimmer itself seems a bit cleaner for it too.
