Hi all, After nearly 12yrs stopped reefing due to some commitment, now I'm back to this hobby. Once you are reefer, you can't stop reefing. Decide to go for 2.5 x 2 x 1.5ft display tank with sump tank set up.

My Tidal Reef journey begins... going for refuge system for my sump set up. Tank up for cycling period.

Beautiful tank! I have a question though, is tidal reef just a name you have come up with, or have you found a way to lower the water line to expose corals to air for X amount of time then raise the water line back to normal like the real tides in nature? I've toyed with this idea and have come up with a way to do that. It works in theory but I haven't actually attempted it to know if it works in practice.
That would be impressive if you did! Not that your tank isn't already impressive :)

Thanks [emoji108], Tidal Reef is just a name. Nothing related to any practice or theory on the tank.
