Ive been thinking about starting a tank that mimics a tide pool but im sure about how to do it and what creatures to go in it. I was thinking some macro algae and hermits but im lost on what else would be good

They will eat all the macro you put in there but from experience, urchins are incredibly common in tide pools, maybe some starfish. Sally lightfoot crabs are usually all over rocky outcroppings.
Are you going to have some of the rock work sticking out of the water?
