Hey everyone! So I just got a harlequin shrimp for my 15 gallon reef and it’s been in for a couple days but today I saw that it was in the 2 inch tiger pistol/watchman giby’s burrown eating an asterina and I don’t see it there now is it possible that my tiger pistol or the goby are it?

Possible? Maybe. At the same time, have you looked all around the rest of the tank? What makes you think that they ate it, as opposed to the shrimp just disappearing into the rockwork?

Multiple other species of fish (and maybe shrimp!) take advantage of the burrows that Alpheus shrimp make. Dartfish especially come to mind. I wouldn't be surprised if other organisms also would take advantage and cohabitate with the shrimp and goby.
