So not even 24 hours ago, i received a shipment of 1 tiger pistol shrimp and yellow watchman goby (doa) 1 smallish scarlet cleaner shrimp, 1 emerald crab and a small mushroom. Everything was A-OK from 11 am - 10 30 PM as I didn't keep my eyes off the tank at those time basically. Cleaner shrimp hung out at the return nozzles basically whole time until nightfall. An then this morning (6:30 am) I go and check and the scarlet shrimp seems dead, laying down on its side with no movement. The pistol shrimp is suspiciously sitting 3 inches away vertically on the panel that separates the sump from the tank (fluval evo xxii) weird thing is the scarlet shrimp seems whole and kinda weighty when I gently scooted it with pliers to the front of the tank and not eaten out. I knew the risk between the two shrimps but wow this was quick. Also is it weird the pistol shrimp is so far out in no mans land alone?
