Tiger Pistol shrimp in a BB tank?

I was just curious if this was doable or not? My LFS had a small one yesterday for $12 and it looked pretty cool. My 20 gallon long has just finished cycling and there's plenty of hiding spots, but I haven't decided whether I'm going to add sand to the tank or not. I thought maybe I could just cut a 4" or 5" piece of pvc pipe and glue it to the bottom as a makeshift burrow. Any information regarding these creatures would be great. Thanks.

Although you could make it work with some pvc and lots of rockwork.. they do prefer a sandy bottom for burrowing. If you don't have any livestock I'd add the sand
